The idea

A video about explanation methods, where each method is explained by using it. The video came first. These lessons break it into pieces you can take in one at a time, and each lesson page uses its own method too.

The spark was Andrej Karpathy's post about better ways to understand what language models produce.

The examples

All the examples are invented to show the methods: the phone plans, the pump station, the espresso machine, the store data and the rest. They're labeled as examples where they appear. The dosing label is not medical advice. Standards and research are cited on each lesson page.

The video

The video is built in code: every frame is drawn by a program from a script, at 120 beats per minute, so each chapter can be rendered on its own.
